Oppo Reno 10 Pro series: Specs confirmed
The new Oppo Reno 10 Pro+ smartphone is being promoted for its advanced telephoto rear camera. Oppo has officially announced that the device will feature a state-of-the-art periscope lens capable of delivering a 3x optical zoom.
The Reno Pro+ introduces a fresh periscope design where the lens and sensor are positioned horizontally to prevent a bulky camera protrusion on the back. According to the company, this phone boasts a periscope module that is 0.96mm slimmer compared to similar devices.
Both the Reno 10 Pro and Pro+ pack the same cameras at the back. The rear camera setup includes a 64-megapixel telephoto camera, which Oppo says is the highest megapixel telephoto portrait camera in the industry, backed by a 1/2-inch image sensor to let you snap portraits with up to 3x optical zoom. This sensor even has support for OIS and one also gets 120x hybrid zoom.
The Reno 10 Pro+ features a primary camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor, offering 50 megapixels and a large sensor size for excellent light intake. It includes OIS and all-pixel omnidirectional focus for improved stability and clarity. The rear camera setup also includes an 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensor, providing a wide-angle view of 112 degrees. The phone utilizes camera algorithms that enhance 4K videos by combining long- and short-exposure frames in real-time, resulting in a significantly expanded dynamic range. For selfies, the front camera has a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 sensor with AF, ensuring precise facial recognition even in low-light conditions. It utilizes a 1/2.47-inch sensor and offers a wider field of view of 90 degrees for capturing broader selfies.
Furthermore, the Reno 10 Pro+ utilizes the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor from Qualcomm, which has been a popular choice for high-end smartphones in recent times. Additionally, based on the hints provided on Flipkart, the upcoming Oppo Reno 10 series will showcase a sleek form factor and a curved screen featuring a hole-punch design. It will be offered in two distinct color options upon its release. Specifics regarding other features and specifications remain undisclosed at this point.
