Ayushmann Khurrana, known for his acting and singing talents, recently disclosed that he faced rejection during his audition for Indian Idol 2.
The versatile artist has always aspired to be an actor who can sing rather than a singer who acts. In an interview, he expressed his clear vision: “I always wanted to be an actor who sings, not a singer who acts.”
Ayushmann’s passion for music and his inclination towards the performing arts led him to host various talent shows and music programs, which served as stepping stones towards his ultimate goal of being a part of the Hindi film industry.
Reflecting on his journey, he revealed, “I’ve been a part of many reality shows, not only as a host but also as a participant. I’ve been an Indian Idol 2 reject.”
Rejections have played a significant role in shaping Ayushmann’s career, and he acknowledges the lessons learned from them. Ayushmann Khurrana attributes his current success to the experiences of facing and overcoming setbacks: “I’ve encountered numerous rejections before coming to Mumbai and pursuing my career in acting and singing. Those rejections have played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today.”
