K Electric also made Sunday a day of torment for the people of Karachi.

According to details, long load shedding is going on in different areas of Karachi. The claims of the CEO of K Electric also turned out to be false.

Citizens said that power has been cut off in blocks 1, 2 and 3 of Gulshan-e-Iqbal since 5 pm while power has also been cut off in areas of Model Colony.

The residents of area also said that there was no electricity in the areas of Scheme 33 from 10 am and in the areas around the National Stadium from 6 pm.

People said that in different areas of Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Malir, Lyari, Maymar, Nazimabad, Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, Maskan Chowrangi, power outages have been going on since morning while load shedding is going on in different blocks of Defence and Clifton.

Citizens complained that industries are closed on holidays, but despite the power outage, K Electric forbade them to live, while there are also complaints of low and high voltage in different parts of the city.

It may be recalled that NEPRA had also increased the price of electricity by Rs 1.82 per unit, which had put an additional burden of Rs 24 billion on power consumers.
