- PTI approached LHC against police operation likely at Zaman Park
- It said there are reports of another police raid at Imran Khan’s residence
- It urged the court to stop police from conducting the raid
LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has approached the Lahore High Court (LHC) against an operation expected at the residence of Imran Khan in Zaman Park, Lahore.
PTI Senior Vice President filed an application through Advocate Azhar Siddique and Zafar Iqbal Mangan over another raid at Zaman Park. The Government of Punjab, Inspector-General Punjab, CCPO Lahore and others have been made parties in the petition
The plea states that there are reports of a possible police operation at Zaman Park. It expressed concerns and said there are fears of loss of life, financial losses and disturbance of peace from the operation.
It added that the expected operation is part of the government’s campaign to prevent campaigning and tamper with the electoral process It urged the court order to stop police from conducting the raid at Imran Khan’s residence
PTI Imran Khan has already expressed concerns over another police operation at this residence at Zaman Park.
In a video statement, he expressed concern and said police can raid his house again today (Wednesday) or tomorrow.
He also revealed that the government attempted to kill him like Murtaza Bhutto during the hearing in Islamabad but luckily their plan could not succeed.
Imran Khan said another plan has been hatched to kill PTI workers and him similar to the Model Town incident and the assassination of Murtaza Bhutto after killing policemen. He feared that the police can launch an operation anytime today or tomorrow at his residence in Zaman Park.
He said an unprecedented crackdown against PTI workers and leadership is underway across the country intending to oust him from politics forever. He said the PDM government has lodged 143 cases against him including terrorism, blasphemy, and others.
PTI Chairman said PTI will hold a power show on March 25 at Minar e Pakistan Lahore which will prove a referendum. He urged the masses to fight for real freedom till their last breath and remove the shackles of fear.
