Prince Harry has been advised that there are “no exceptions for royalty” as his US visa is being scrutinized following his admission of drug use.
The Duke of Sussex has admitted openly to using cocaine, cannabis, and magic mushrooms.
As a result, the right-wing think organization The Heritage Foundation has called for the release of Harry’s visa application so that American taxpayers can determine whether the Duke revealed his drug use.
The penalties for lying to immigration officials in the United States are severe, including deportation and the inability to petition for citizenship.
Neama Rahmani, President of West Coast Trial Lawyers and a former federal prosecutor, has warned Prince Harry that his royal position will not help him obtain a US visa.
He told Page Six: “An admission of drug use is usually grounds for inadmissibility.”
“That means Prince Harry’s visa should have been denied or revoked because he admitted to using cocaine, mushrooms and other drugs.”
Rahmani added there is “no exception for royalty or recreational use”.
