PESHAWAR: The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee headed by Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir has announced the Ramazan moon has been sighted in the country, resultantly the first Ramadan will be observed on Thursday.
The committee met in Peshawar on Wednesday for Ramadan moon-sighting. The meeting was held at the building of Auqaf Department to announce the beginning of the holy month in Pakistan.
Apart from this, district and zonal committees of the body also met at the respective offices on Wednesday.

Moreover, the Pakistan meteorological department (PMD) announced that there was a strong possibility of moon sighting on Wednesday as the weather forecast is clear.
“The weather is expected to be fair and partly cloudy in most parts of the country during the Ramadan moon sighting time.”.
Meanwhile, Ramadan moon was not sighted in India and Bangladesh and the first Ramazan will be observed on Friday there. Whereas Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries are observing their first fast on Thursday.
