On Tuesday morning, the filmmaker Karan Johar was seen at the Mumbai airport. On social media, a video of him being stopped by security at the airport gate was posted. Karan was requested to present his identification since he entered the gate without stopping for an ID check.
Karan Johar is seen in the footage posted on a paparazzi page walking towards the airport entrance after posing for the photographers. He was dressed in loose-fitting white blazer, black joggers, and a black T-shirt. He was also sporting black sunglasses and a large purse. A security guard asked him to present his ID and travel-related paperwork after stopping him. After a brief moment of turning, Karan realised what had happened and presented his documents to the airport security. After receiving a nod from the security guards, Karan entered the airport.
“These people feel so entitled that they think there’s no need to show documents or follow the rules!” one user commented in response to the footage on Instagram. One more added, “No one is a celebrity when it comes to airport security. All are equal.” Someone else added, “Look, as if he was doing a favour. Is it that difficult for these to follow security rules. Why behave as if they own everything.”

It is unknown at this time if Karan is departing the city for business or a vacation. He recently finished shooting Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, his forthcoming movie. He commented, “I also announced this with some behind-the-scenes photos,” and wrote, “It’s been 7 years since I directed a film….. I embarked on a journey of a film that I had to stop mid way for various unavoidable reasons and then the germ of #rockyaurranikipremkahani came to me from a real life family anecdote ( something my father once told me about ) and then my soldiers helped me create everything I wanted to with my 7th feature … I was blessed with the best team … a team so full of love that bidding them goodbye was not easy….. thank you to each and every one of the core team that helped me through thick, thin, Covid and bad weather.”
