Sam Neill in response to recent revelations that he was given a stage 3 blood cancer diagnosis last year, Sam Neill stated that he is “absolutely fine” and that everything is going well.
On Saturday, he posted on Instagram to reassure his followers that he has been in remission for the past eight months.
“My [health] news appears to be all over the press right now, and it is kind of ‘Cancer! Cancer! Cancer!’,” the New Zealand-born performer said. Which is a little tiresome considering that, as you can see, I am healthy and have been in remission for eight months, which is fantastic.
Neill said he is “alive and kicking and… extremely glad to be coming back to work” with his health on the mend.
Neill continued by saying he never imagined he would have such a successful acting career. He titled the book “Movies, Life, Love, and Other Catastrophes” in part because of this.
“As a result, it helps you understand all the bizarre things that have happened to me. The novel has a tone of surprise, “The pianist clarified. “I never imagined that I would pursue a profession in acting, much less be a screen actor. But in a way, that is what actually happened, and as I reflect on this life, I am incredibly grateful. This is the subject of the book.”
