Swift, 29, paused her performance at the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey, for a brief while to ask audience members if a particular song made it onto her 44-song set list for her opening night.

Ballerini captioned a photo of herself and Swift with the phrase “Happy tour beginning to my buddy who is equally as welcoming, friendly, and entertaining drinking wine on the sofa as she is on stage. “I’m excited to come fangirl and get inspired because of this. Possibly holding a sign. Possibly wearing snakeskin clothing as well. Take them down, sister.”
Even on the red carpet for the 2022 Grammy Awards, Ballerini praised Swift, saying that she “constantly makes people proud, whether you know her or not.”
