Following a man’s death at a pool, a guy has been detained on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter in Leicester.

A guy in his 20s became ill in the pool, and police were called to the Cossington Street Sports Centre in Leicester just after 13:00 GMT on Thursday.

He was declared dead at the spot despite the officers’ attendance.

Since then, a guy, 40, has been detained in connection with the event.

Investigators said he was unrelated to the recreation center, and he was subsequently released on police bail.

To determine the full circumstances of the man’s death, the force stated that investigations were still ongoing.
