In Birmingham, a 15-year-old girl was killed after she was struck by a bus.

Just before 5:00 PM on Saturday, Sheldon’s Sheaf Lane received a call for the police.

Shortly after arriving at the hospital, the teen’s death was confirmed.

According to West Midlands Police, the driver was assisting with their inquiries.

“A young girl has tragically died and we’ll be doing all we can to support her family during this deeply distressing time,” PC Gail Arnold said.

Anybody with information that could assist officers is urged to call the police, according to the police.

PC Arnold added: “We’re working to establish the circumstances behind the collision and we’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, and especially anyone with dashcam footage.”
