PSL 2023: Fakhar Zaman reaches a PSL milestone

  • Fakhar Zaman achieved a unique feat during the final of the eight edition of the PSL.
  • He was out after scoring 39 runs in 34 balls with four fours and a six.
  • Lahore will be attempting to become the first team to win back-to-back PSL titles.

 

Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars achieved an unprecedented feat during the final of the eighth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) against Multan Sultans.

Zaman became the first player in PSL history to smack 100 sixes after hitting a maximum in the 10th over of the match at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. It only took him 76 innings to reach the milestone.

Fakhar Zaman has the most sixes in the PSL 100.

Zaman was out after scoring 39 runs in 34 balls with four fours and a six.

With 429 runs in 13 innings and a strike rate of 160.67, the left-hander is currently the third highest run-scorer in the PSL 8.

Lahore will be attempting to become the first team to win back-to-back PSL titles, while Multan will be attempting to win their second.

The home team is led by pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, while Multan is led by wicketkeeper Mohammad Rizwan.

Multan qualified for the final by defeating Lahore in the Qualifier. Lahore, on the other hand, defeated Peshawar Zalmi to advance to the championship match.

The winner will not only receive the Supernova Trophy, but also a cheque for Rs120 million, while the runners-up will receive a cheque for Rs48 million.
