Taylor Swift releases four new songs ahead of her Eras Tour

  • Taylor Swift has released three new “Taylor’s Version” re-recordings in addition to a “Lover” B-Side.
  • The lyrics describe the heartaches a couple experienced with previous relationships.
  • All Of The Ladies You Loved Before is a massive pop song that fans think is about her.

The pop megastar stunned her fans this week by announcing that, in advance of her ‘Eras’ world tour, she would release four songs at midnight on Friday, March 23.

Three of them—”Eyes Open (Taylor’s Version), “Safe and Sound (Taylor’s Version),” and “If This Was A Movie (Taylor’s Version)”—are a part of the Grammy-winning singer’s re-recordings made in response to the legal battle over who owned the masters for her first six albums.

The latter is from the deluxe edition of 2010’s “Speak Now,” while the first two are from the soundtrack album for “The Hunger Games,” which was released in 2012.

An outtake from Taylor’s 2019 album “Lover,” “All Of The Ladies You Loved Before” is a massive pop song that fans think is about her actor lover Joe Alwyn.

The lyrics describe the heartaches a couple experienced with previous relationships before finding The One.

The 32-year-old actor of “The Favourite,” with whom the 33-year-old artist has been dating for seven years, sings: “Every dead-end street led you directly to me, and all of the girls you’ve previously loved made you the person I’ve fallen in love with.

I’m so grateful for all the girls you’ve loved in the past and I love you much more now that you’re all I need.”

Taylor also belts: “We’re breaking up, making up / Leave without saying goodbye / Just know that it’s everything that made me / Now, I call you ‘baby,’ that’s why you’re so amazing.”
