Using justifications of being hospitalized, Eva Green avoided filming a “shitty B-Movie,” a Patriot movie, the court was informed.
The 300 star reportedly asked her agent through WhatsApp in September 2019: “IF they come back to you and say they are going to go ahead with the movie, what can we say…? Could we say this situation has made me ill over the weekend? We could say I had to go to hospital as I had a serious rash all over my body?”
Later in the call, the 42-year-old requested a medical professional’s support for the assertion.
The information was revealed in a court dispute between the Casino Royale actor and the production company White Lantern, where the former is suing the latter for $1 million after the sci-fi project’s “pay or play” agreement fell through.
Nevertheless, the firm undermined the production and abandoned the movie as payment, which caused it to fail.
According to Max Mallin QC, the production company’s attorney, the French actress went to great lengths to avoid the film’s shot by instructing her agent, Charles Collier, to “invent a story about Ms. Green being hospitalized.”
Green “appeared to contemplate faking a broken arm,” they continued, in order to avoid performing.
