ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday disposed of a plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) seeking cancellation of arrest warrant issued for party chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana case.
A hearing was held in the Islamabad High Court after the removal of objections to the warrant cancellation plea of Imran Khan. Chief Justice Aamer Farooq reserved the decision after the arguments of the parties were completed.
Chief Justice Aamer Farooq ordered that the assurance submitted here should be submitted to the trial court. Imran Khan’s non-bailable arrest warrant will be reinstated.
According to the court order, the trial court should decide after looking at the affidavit. Islamabad High Court, while dealing with the petition of former prime minister Imran Khan, ordered that Imran Khan file his petition in the Sessions Court.
The trial court considered the affidavit in accordance with the law. The court ordered Imran Khan’s lawyers to file a fresh application in the trial court.

Meanwhile, clashes between PTI workers and police have continued at Zaman Park for the last two days and the workers are fully resisting the action. on the other hand, on the call of the PTI chief, protests are being staged across the country.

Meanwhile, Islamabad High Court has fixed the petition to suspend arrest warrant of Imran Khan for tomorrow.

PTI senior leader Chaudhry Fawad Hussain in a tweet said that the warrant is dated 18th March, so the police should end the operation immediately and wait for the court’s decision.

Meanwhile President of Pakistan Dr. Arif Ali in his tweet said, “I am deeply saddened by today’s events. Unnecessary revenge politics. The poor priorities of the government of a country that should focus on the economic misery of the people. Are we headed for a very dangerous political scenario? Me like all politicians, there is equal concern for safety and honor.”

As per Bol TV, police and rangers have decided on a strategy, according to which, Imran Khan will be brought to Islamabad by helicopter.

Police sources said that the helicopter will be kept on standby in a ground near Zaman Park, the residence of Imran Khan.

In case, the helicopter is not used, squads of police and Rangers are also on standby to take the by-road, they added. Islamabad and Lahore police chief officers are present at Zaman Park.

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah is giving constant instructions to the police from Islamabad, sources said.

PTI central leader Hammad Azhar said that there are currently 8 to 10 thousand workers in Zaman Park and around it.

The worst torture is being done on the basis of a false case, he said and added that people and workers are being provoked towards confrontation.

It is a stupid idea of ​​the regime to test the patience of the people. The people of Lahore reached Zaman Park to express solidarity with their leader.

In Mianwali, on the call of PTI party leadership, the workers came out on the streets across the district and blocked roads in protest.

They burnt tyres and shouted slogans in favor of Imran Khan. The protestors also chanted slogans in favor of Bol news and Shoaib Sheikh.

PTI leader Alamgir Khan told Bol News that more than 10 places in Karachi, PTI workers are protesting.

“We will not rise until the situation in Zaman Park improves. People and others have come out of their homes to obey the law but two laws cannot operate in this country one for the PTI and other for PML-N,” he maintained.

In Hyderabad, PTI workers raised slogans against the caretaker government and Punjab police. They also raised slogans in favor of their party chief Imran Khan and said “No, our leader is not afraid of the government’s tactics and arrest.”

Pakistan has been made a battlefield by the imported government, they maintained and added, “We are with every step of Khan Sahib. The government wants to create chaos in the country by arresting Imran Khan. Imran Khan is our redline.”

In Sukkur, workers gathered on Military Road against the possible arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan.

PTI General Secretary Sindh Mubeen Jatoi called the workers to Insaaf House. A large number gathered at Insaaf House and women activists are also present to protest against the possible arrest of Imran Khan.

The activists raised slogans against shelling of Zaman Park by Punjab Police.  “The Party Chairman Imran Khan’s life is in danger,” says Jatoi, adding that Imran Khan is our red line if it is crossed, there will be massive protests.

Punjab Police immediately empty the Zaman Park, Jatoi demanded.

In Gujranwala, workers are protesting at various places including GT Road, Chanda Fort, Gondanwala Chowk, Aziz Cross. Protesters have blocked the road at Flyover. Workers staged a sit-in at Gondanwala Chowk and blocked the road by burning tyres.

The workers raised slogans against the government and the police.

Long lines of vehicles were formed due to traffic block on GT Road.

In Sargodha, PTI workers blocked Sargodha-Khushab Road and raised slogans in favour of Imran Khan.

Long queues of vehicles were formed and markets in the city were also closed. “If Imran Khan is arrested, then there will be chaos all over the country,” the PTI activists said.

In Pakpattan, protesters took to the streets against the possible arrest of Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.

PTI workers blocked Nagina Chowk and shouted slogans against the imported government. Participants said that cruelty and brutality would not be tolerated at all and the puppet chief minister should wait for time.

In Hafizabad, against the expected arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan and shelling in Zaman Park, Tehreek-e-Insaf workers came out in large numbers on the streets and protested by burning tires.

Traffic has been stopped by blocking the road in front of the DPO Office Chowk.

They demanded that Zaman Park should be vacated immediately, adding that their blood is present for their beloved leader Imran Khan.

In Kot Addu, the workers protested at Police Chowk under the leadership of former MNA Mian Shabbir Qureshi.

They also stage a protest at Tehsil Chowk Sarwar Shaheed and raised slogans against the government and police.

Traffic was blocked on GT Road due to protest and long queues of vehicles were witnessed.

The workers and leaders said, “Imran Khan is our red line and not let Imran Khan arrested by these looters and corrupt rulers.”

In Mailsi, the PTI protested against the possible arrest of Imran Khan and the police brutality at Zaman Park.

The party workers say, “Ready to die for Imran Khan. Imran Khan is our red line.”

In Balochistan, protesting workers of the PTI  have blocked roads and national highways at various places in the province. Until the call to end the protest, they will continue their demonstrations.

National highways to Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad and Sindh have also been closed, PTI Balochistan said.

In Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers came out on the streets and shouted slogans against the imported government.

Workers blocked the road with tires and said, “Imran Khan Our red line.”

 In his latest video message,  Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister Imran Khan said Police has reached Zaman Park to arrest him and added that he is fighting for masses of the country.

Former prime minister Imrna Khan said “I am fighting for people and will continue to do in rest of his life.”

He said people should prove themselves today that they are with PTI and Imran Khan. He urged the people come out from  their homes for real freedom.

 

On other hand, police used water cannon and tear gas to disperse PTI workers gathered outside party chief Imran Khan’s Zaman Park residence in Lahore.

The police also arrested PTI workers and supporter while clash between law enforcement agencies and PTI supporter is underway.

Earlier, a heavy contingent of police have arrived at Zaman Park to arrest Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and to implement the court order of his summon in Toshakhana case, Bol News reported.

The police team would make the PTI chief act upon the court’s summon. The team of Islamabad police has reached Zaman Park along with Lahore police team. The CCPO Lahore has directed Civil Police Line to remain alert as police might carry out an operation.

Prisoner and police vans are parked on the road around Zaman Park. A heavy contingent of police has reached Mall Road.
