In a heated final contested on Monday in the main stadium of the Peshawar Sports Complex, Gujranwala’s Atif Butt defeated Lahore’s Heera to earn a spot in the World Esports Championship.
Butt announced on Twitter that he has qualified for the World Esports Championship.
“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve qualified for the World Esports Championship. I will be representing my country Pakistan on a global stage. It’s an honor to compete against the best in the world and I’m grateful for the opportunity to showcase my skills,” he wrote.
Romania will host the World Esports Championship event.
Players from across the nation competed in the National Esports competition, which was held both online and offline. Heera lost to Atif Butt in the Tekken 7 championship.

A total of 1,500 players from all around Pakistan took part in the qualifying phase of the six games Dota 2, CS Go, PUBG Mobile, Mobile Legend Bang Bang, Tekken 7, and e-Football.
On February 25, the Online and Offline round began. The Offline competition took place at the Peshawar Sports Complex, and the champions of the other competitions competed in South Asian qualifying rounds to advance to the World Esports Championship, which was held in Beirut, Lebanon.
