- Sevilla defeated Fenerbache 2-0 at home.
Yassine Bounou, known as “Bono,” the Sevilla goalkeeper, has been permitted to return home after being taken to the hospital during his team’s 2-1 victory over Almeria at home.
Moroccan international collided with his team’s defender Alex Telles as he entered the goalmouth to punch out a cross on Sunday, necessitating stretchering him off the field and evacuating him in an ambulance.
In the second half, Martin Dmitrovic, who took over as the goalkeeper, made a number of outstanding saves.
The Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium had to be abandoned by Bono. On Sunday, the club informed,
“Bono has left feeling dizzy and has been taken to hospital as a precaution, but he is in a stable condition.”
The goalkeeper was later released home, according to the team, but considering the seriousness of the injury, he will likely miss Thursday’s Europa League away match against Fenerbache in Turkey.
For the first leg of their match, Sevilla defeated Fenerbache 2-0 at home.
