When Tere Bin’s writer Nooran Makhdoom appeared as a guest on Fuchsia, questions regarding the story’s inspiration were addressed. Nooran revealed that the tales of people she knows in real life served as inspiration for Tere Bin.
She mentioned a woman she knows who went through a similar experience to Meerab because she learned about being adopted later in life than Meerab does, and that is what Nooran included in Tere Bin. Also, she included a tale about a woman she knows who was married off to a man she did not care for and how he won her over with his attitude.
