Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced that their children will be entitled to the titles of Prince and Princess.

The royal family immediately recognized their decision, and the line of succession was updated on the family’s official website.
After a few hours, King Charles bestowed the title of Duke of Edinburgh on his younger brother, Prince Edward.
According to a royal expert, the addition of new titles has overshadowed King Charles’ plans for a slimmed-down monarchy.
The changes have been seen as a contrast to the sovereign’s long-rumored desire to streamline the Firm in order to make it more agile, modern, and cost-effective.
Speaking to a page, Richard Fitzwilliams said “The idea of a ‘slimmed-down monarchy’ hasn’t been much in evidence this week with Archie and Lili receiving titles automatically and it being announced that Edward will become Duke of Edinburgh.”
