At around 15:30 GMT on Friday, emergency services were summoned to London Road in Purfleet, Essex.
According to Essex Fire and Rescue Service, a huge cargo vehicle went off the road and struck some buildings. There were no other automobiles present.
A man in his 50s, according to the police, passed away there.
According to Essex Police, nobody else was hurt.
The police reported that portion of the road was still closed.
