Sarah Ferguson has stated that she “doesn’t know” Meghan Markle, contradicting claims made by the Sussexes.
“I don’t really know Meghan,” the Duchess of York told the Telegraph.
“I haven’t really met her.”
However, the claim contradicts Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s statements.
Ferguson, according to the couple, is one of the Royal Family’s friendlier members.
The Sussexes also claimed to have had drinks with Sarah at The Royal Lodge, her home.
In his autobiography Spare, Prince Harry claimed that Sarah taught Meghan Markle how to curtsy before her first meeting with Queen Elizabeth II.
During their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, the Sussexes also made the curtsey claim.
Ferguson did say she spoke to the Duchess of Sussex at the Queen’s funeral in September, adding, ‘She looked absolutely beautiful. ‘I think she’s lovely.’
Sarah , meanwhile, has refused to criticise Meghan Markle and Prince Harry over Megxit.
“I don’t believe that any single person has the right to judge another person,” Ferguson said.
