Islamabad United crushed down Multan Sultans in a nail-biter match at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Islamabad United after winning the toss decided to bowl first. Multan Sultans posted 206 runs in the first innings thanks to brilliant performance by opening batsman Shan Masood who went on to score 75 runs.

In reply, Islamabad United started badly as they were losing wickets quickly in the beginning.

In came star all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who started aggressively with the bat and went on to score blistering match-winning 51 runs from 26 deliveries including five fours and two massive sixes.

With this win, Islamabad United becomes the first team to hit 18 runs in the final over in terms of chasing runs.
