ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has approved the date of the election in Punjab and announced the polls on April 30, Sunday.
The development came after ECP writes a letter to the president and suggested dates from April 30 to May 7.
It should be noted that an important meeting regarding the date of elections was held in Punjab under the chairmanship of the Chief Election Commissioner during which important issues were discussed.
After the meeting, the Election Commission wrote a letter to the President regarding the suggestion of an election date.
