- PTI to suspend Jail Bharo Tehreek
- The decision came after the SC verdict
- SC ordered to hold elections in Punjab, KP within 90 days
ISLAMABAD: Following the decision announced by Supreme Court in regards to the delay in Punjab and KP polls, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to postpone the Jail Bharo Tehreek.
PTI will be suspending the Jail Bharo movement and is to approach the court for the release of the leaders.
It has been decided to approach the court for the release of the captive leaders who were arrested.
The sources have said that a joint petition is being prepared for the release of imprisoned leaders in Punjab.
On the other hand, Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is also expected to address the public at 6 pm today.
He will discuss the decisions of the Supreme Court and other political issues.
Apart from this, Imran Khan will announce the plan of action after the suspension of Jail Bharo movement and will talk to the public regarding the preparations for the elections.
It should be noted that the Supreme Court has ordered elections to be held in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within 90 days.
