Daesh Intelligence and Operations Chief killed in Kabul: Afghanistan spokesperson

ISLAMABAD: Spokesperson of Afghanistan Zabihullah Mujahid has said that Intelligence and Operations Chief of Daesh Qari Fateh has been killed in an over night raid in Kabul, Bol News reported.

Zabihullah Mujahid said the Daesh leader was responsible for the terror activities in Kabul.

“With the help of Allah (SWT), two Daesh members were killed in an overnight operation against a cell in 1st street of Shahrak e Zakireen, Khair Khana, Kabul.

“Among the killed was a key member of Daesh Khorasan group, Qari Fateh, who previously served as Amir of Harb (military leader) for Khorasan, head of Kunar province, head of eastern zone and currently as the intelligence and operations chief,” he tweeted.

The Afghanistan spokesperson said Qari Fateh directly masterminded recent operations in Kabul including against diplomatic missions, mosques, and other targets.

He said, “All praise belongs to Allah that the criminal was served justice last night for his brutal actions at the hands of IEA Special Forces during a complex operation.”

He said in another operation three Daesh members including a leader for the Indian Subcontinent, Ijaz Amin Ahingar, were also killed.

“With the help of Allah (SWT), a number of other Daesh members including foreign nationals planning deadly attacks were also detained in recent days,” he wrote.
