Cate Blanchett, who was nominated for her leading performance in Tár, chose to reuse a dress from her own wardrobe once more for the SAG Awards 2023, donning the “third iteration” of a black lace Giorgio Armani Privé ensemble she previously wore to the 2014 Golden Globes and the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.
The intricately crafted dress’s most current incarnation features a black sequin bodice with a fitting skirt and sleeves that are cut in accordance with the lace pattern. The original version was made from sheer fabric and delicate lace with a high neck and cap sleeves. She chose a romantic, wavy long haircut and rose-colored makeup to balance the dress’ slightly edgier mood.
Before the presentation, her stylist Elizabeth Stewart shared a picture of the celebrity that also featured a picture of the original dress’s startling back.
