Prince William made a joke with injured soldiers seconds before Saturday’s rugby match between England and Wales, claiming “my wife won’t speak to me” if her team loses.
The Prince and Princess of Wales attended the Wales vs. England Six Nations rugby match at Principality Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday. Since they supported various teams, the couple appeared to be keen communicators. Since 2016, William has been the patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, while Princess Kate has been the patron of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union.

Before the game, the pair met injured troops funded by the Welsh Rugby Charity Trust and made a joke about their support for various clubs. If England lost, William revealed he was worried about a “tense” journey home because “my wife won’t speak to me.”
Injured players were informed by the future king: “It’s going to be a very tense journey home.” If we win today, my wife won’t speak to me. “It will be a tense evening.” When asked about her England support during the match, Kate chuckled and said, “The atmosphere is always second-to-none, so I’m looking forward to that.”

But, following England‘s triumph in the game, William appeared relaxed as he revealed some of the fantastic moments he and his wife shared throughout the game.
