RAJANPUR: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) candidate Mohsin Laghari on Sunday said the local administration was involved in rigging the by-election on NA-193 seat (Rajanpur-I), Bol News reported.
Talking to Bol News, Mohsin Laghari said signatures were being taken from the polling agents on Form-45, on pretext of marking attendance.
He said they were filing complaint with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP). He said dozens of PTI workers were arrested and being threatened. He expressed firm belief that the PTI would win the by-election with a big margin.
On the other hand, the ECP spokesperson said the central control room of ECP established in Islamabad had yet not received any complaint. He said the central room would remain established from February 25 to 27.

The spokesperson said senior officers including the monitoring team had strictly been monitoring the election process for three days. Apart from this, the complaints related to the election process were also being addressed, he said, adding the ECP control room would remain active till compilation of initial results.
Earlier Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has urged people to come out and vote in the by-elections in NA-193 Ranjanpur constituency.
The PTI chief gave a special message to the people of Jampur of district Ranjapur ahead of the by-elections. He said that Sardar Mohsin Leghari is the PTI candidate in the polls.
“PDM candidate is spreading fear in the constituency along with facilitators,” he said, adding that farmers’ crops are being damaged, bogus FIRs are being lodged, and people are being harassed to prevent them from voting.
He said the purpose of all these tactics is to harass the people of Jampur and stop them from voting for the PTI. He called on the people to come out on Sunday and defeat the shackles of fear. He added that Mohsin Leghari will win the election despite rigging.
