- He was not there for match between Multan and Karachi.
Mohammad Amir, a fast bowler for Karachi Kings, is most likely going to miss his team’s match against Multan Sultans on Sunday in the ongoing eighth season of the Pakistan Premier League (PSL).
Amir could only bowl two overs last Sunday during Karachi’s game against Lahore Qalandars due to a groyne issue.
The pacer’s recovery in Karachi continued after the setback while he was out of action. He was not there for Wednesday’s match between Multan and Karachi, which the 2020 champions lost by three runs.
It should be remembered that on Sunday, Karachi defeated Lahore by a score of 67 runs to claim their first PSL 8 victory.
Amir undertook light exercise rather than bowl at his team’s Saturday practise.
In as many PSL 8 games, Amir has taken four wickets at an economy rate of 7.64.
In their sixth game of the present competition, Karachi will square up against a tough Multan Sultans team.
It is important to note that Imad Wasim’s team has only won one of their previous five games and is now in fifth place in the league standings.
On March 19, the PSL 8 final and closing ceremony will take place in Lahore, which will also serve as the site of the playoffs.
In addition to receiving the Supernova Trophy, the victor will also receive a check for Rs120 million, while the losers will each receive a check for Rs48 million.
Lahore Qalandars will try to become the first team to win consecutive championships, while Islamabad United will try to make history by winning the trophy three times.
The initial schedule calls for Rawalpindi to host 11 games, Karachi and Lahore to each host nine games, and Multan to host five.
