The project is being led by the talented filmmaker Magizh Thurumeni and is tentatively titled AK 62. According to the most recent information, the AK 62 was recently officially launched with a pooja ceremony in Chennai.
Ajith Kumar misses the AK 62 pooja
According to reports, leading man Ajith Kumar skipped the AK 62 pooja event because he is currently on vacation in Europe with his family. The film’s low-key pooja ceremony was attended only by its director Magizh Thirumeni and a few cast and crew members. The latest updates suggest that the makers are planning to officially launch the much-awaited project with an official statement, following the usual norm of all recent Ajith Kumar projects.
AK 62 star cast
Although little is known about the AK 62 cast, rumours suggest that popular actors Arun Vijay and Arulnithi have been approached to play pivotal roles. In that case, the project could mark Ajith and Arun’s first collaboration since the 2015 blockbuster Yennai Arindhaal. The film’s female lead has yet to be determined by the producers.

As previously reported, Vignesh Shivan recently removed ‘AK 62’ from his bio on his official Twitter handle, confirming that he is no longer a part of Ajith Kumar’s project. According to reports, Magizh Thirumeni, the project’s new director, recently met Ajith Kumar in London and impressed the star with his narration. According to unconfirmed reports, writer-director P.S Mithran has written the screenplay for the untitled film.
