- CTD arrested a large network of terrorists
- One extortionist was killed, while five arrested

PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested a large network of terrorists during a grand operation.
As per details, a grand operation was conducted against terrorist extortionists by the Anti-Terrorism Department of Peshawar Region to prevent terrorism financing and a large number of terrorists involved in extortion were arrested at Tela Band.
In the exchange of fire with the extortionists, one extortionist was killed on the spot and five were arrested while two to three escaped from the spot.
The dead extortionist has been identified as Sulaiman Shah, son of Fateh Gul while the arrested extortionists include Waqifullah son of Raziqullah, Qaribullah, Mazar Khan, son of Rais Khan, Khan son of Zarkhan and Hakeem Syed son of Gul Syed.
The terrorist extortionists belong to the neighboring country of Afghanistan and have been involved in 20 to 22 different incidents of extortion, grenade attacks and firing on civilians and businessmen.
