Police called John Mayer’s residence after thief trespasses

  • Police called John Mayer’s residence after the thief trespassed.
  • Police were alerted last month when the intruder was captured on Mayer’s security camera.
  • Authorities searched Mayer’s property outside but did not enter the house.

Recently, police were called to John Mayer’s Los Angeles home when the singer’s security staff discovered an intruder inside.

The incident was reported on Monday, according to a Los Angeles Police Department representative, who did not immediately respond to our requests for more information.

Police were alerted last month when the intruder was captured on Mayer’s security camera, according to law enforcement sources. The 45-year-old singer of “Your Body Is a Wonderland” apparently wasn’t at home at the time.

According to additional accounts, authorities searched Mayer’s property outside but did not enter the house.

As Mayer’s security crew said that the home’s alarm system was never triggered, police apparently did not think the intruder actually entered the singer’s residence.

Moreover, a police aircraft was flying overhead, scouring the area.

The intruder was not located, therefore the search was futile. There were no detentions. It’s unclear if the case is still under investigation.

The home of a Grammy winner has previously been broken into. In 2018, Mayer’s Beverly Hills home was “ransacked.”

About $100,000 to $200,000 worth of stuff was stolen. Thankfully, the singer of “Daughters” was not present for either incident.

Recent years have seen an increase in home invasions in Los Angeles, with several celebrities becoming the victims of these crimes.

Dorit Kemsley, a star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” was robbed at gunpoint while at home with her two young children in late 2021, and Christine Quinn, a former star of “Selling Sunset,” was the target of an attempted invasion in March 2022.
