  • She shared her own list of winners.
  • Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan took major awards at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival.

Kangana Ranaut turned to Instagram to protest Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Varun Dhawan receiving significant honors at the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival. She said that the “nepo mafia grabs everyone’s right” and presented her own list of winners she felt were deserving.

Kangana shared her own list of winners on Instagram Stories, writing, “Awards season has here, so before the nepo mafia grabs everyone, let me explain that this year’s Best Actor is Rishab Shetty (Kantara) Mrunal Thakur won for best actress (Sita Ramam) Favorite movie: Kantara SS Rajamouli is the best director (RRR) Anupam Kher won for best supporting actor (Kashmir Files) Tabu is the best supporting actress (Bhool Bhulaiya) Yeh log jayein ya nahi awards inhi ke hain (the awards belong to them regardless of whether they attend them or not)… Filmi awards have no credibility; once I’ve finished working here, I’ll prepare a legitimate list of everyone I think deserves recognition. Stay tuned, please.”

She continued, “Life of nepo insects use parents’ names and contacts, do papa jo chaploosi to get work, agar koi self made aaye uska career sabotage kardo (nepo kids flatter Karan Johar to get work, they sabotage a self made person’s career), if someone survives and complains about ongoing harassment they experience, unko bikau mafia PR se jealous or mad bolke dismiss According to Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, the main objective is to remove evil.

At the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival on Monday, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt took home the Best Actor and Best Actress prizes, respectively. Ranbir won for portraying the title role in Brahmastra Part One: Shiva, while Alia won for her major role in Gangubai Kathiawadi. For his work in the movie Bhediya, Varun Dhawan was also given the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor.
