Mohammad Nawaz, an all-around player for Quetta Gladiators, wanted to make a big impact for his side in the next Pakistan Super League season (PSL).

Nawaz claimed that the crew has fixed the problems from the last edition and that they will achieve better outcomes this time in an exclusive interview with media.

“We are all really enthusiastic about the competition and want to perform well this time. Prior to the PSL 2023, everyone appears to be in excellent shape, and we have a terrific mix, he remarked.

The all-rounder continued, “Unlike last time, our combination will not be disrupted because our abroad players are available for the entire season, making our squad greater than before.

Despite his confidence in the availability of foreign players, Nawaz stated that it is crucial for the club that its own players do well in the competition.

He also highlighted his satisfaction with the team’s local players’ recent performance.

“It’s crucial for teams to acquire performances from local players to have a better win ratio, and I’ll also add that our local players like Iftikhar are in really excellent form,” remarked Nawaz.

Nawaz is one of the players who began their PSL careers as an emerging talent and is now recognized as a league product.

He also talked about how the league taught him how to handle pressure.

For a young person like me, sharing a dressing room with celebrities like Viv Richards or Kevin Pietersen was a tremendous educational experience. They taught me a lot about the atmosphere in the locker room and how to use my skills on the field,” he recalled.

One piece of advice Sir Viv gave me, Nawaz recalled, was to watch the ball and refrain from preparing the shot beforehand.

The veteran all-rounder noted that the league is always a fantastic opportunity for young people and expressed the hope that, like previous seasons, this one would also produce strong talent for the nation.

Nawaz, a seasoned member of the Gladiators team, stated that he will play an all-around role in the team and will attempt to support the club’s goals whenever possible.

“My goal is to deliver an impactful performance, one that can help the team win. That is my responsibility and goal in this PSL” he said.
