Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra’s closely guarded royal wedding in Jaisalmer has finally concluded. Kiara’s wedding post, which included the first pictures from the wedding, has received 13.48 million likes, breaking Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s wedding post, which previously held the record for the most likes on an Indian Instagram post.
Kiara and Sidharth captioned their first wedding photos, “Ab humari permanent booking hogayi hai (we are now permanently booked)”. On our journey ahead, we ask for your blessings and love.” While her post is currently the most liked Indian post on Instagram, Sidharth’s post has over 10 million likes.

Alia and Ranbir married in their Bandra home in front of only their family and a few close friends. “Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites. Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special. Love, Ranbir and Alia,” Alia wrote alongside the first photos. Her post was liked by 13.19 million people.
Katrina Kaif is a close third, with 12.62 million likes on her wedding post with Vicky Kaushal on Instagram. “Only love and gratitude in our hearts for everything that brought us to this moment . Seeking all your love and blessings as we begin this new journey together.”

The royal wedding of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas in Jodhpur was also a huge success. In December 2018, Priyanka’s wedding post received 6.1 million likes.

Varun Dhawan married Natasha Dalal in Alibaug during the lockdown on January 24, 2021, and shared wedding photos on his Instagram account. He shared them with the caption, “Life long love just became official.” More than 5.73 million people liked the post.
When Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma married on December 11, 2017 in Italy, there were few hints. “Today we have promised each other to be bound in love forever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you. This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.” Anushka’s post received 3.44 million likes, while Virat’s post received 4.43 million likes.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were left off the list because Deepika deleted all of her social media posts a few years ago.
