KARACHI: Stage Nomad is currently showing their 9th commercial comedy theatre play at the JS Auditorium (IBA City Campus, Saddar) in Karachi.
“Meri Shaadi Meri Marzi” is a political satire that talks about the importance of choice. The play penned intelligently by Ashar Naeem and beautifully directed by Faheem Azam draws many parallel analogies between a typical household wedding and how a country’s leader is selected.
It’s a treat to watch for the people who have taste in politics and enjoy watching satires and non-stop clean humour, where they can comfortably sit next to their families and enjoy.
The play did its soft launch in November 2022 at the Arts Council and now is performing every day at JS Auditorium (IBA City Campus, Saddar) in Karachi till the March 19.
The audience comprised of individuals, as well as companies who purchase it for their customers or companies. They are selling a ticket for Rs2,000 and are also offering 50 per cent discount to students. The people from all walks of life, income backgrounds, education levels, age brackets are enjoying it equally, as it has a masses appeal and resonates with what they see around them every single day.
