After graduating from high school, a 9-year-old Pennsylvania child who wants to work in astrophysics will be one step closer to his dream.

After enrolling in Reach Cyber Charter School in Harrisburg as a third-grader and finishing the necessary courses virtually from his home in Bensalem, David Balogun has received his high school diploma.

Balogun told the media, “I wanted to do it because I had the ability to do it,” added, “So why not use those abilities for the greater good?”

Balogun has already finished one semester at Bucks County Community College and is considering continuing his education at a four-year college or university while still pursuing his black belt in karate.

Balogun told the media reporter, “I want to be an astrophysicist and I want to study black holes and supernovas.”

The boy’s college-educated parents said that their son possesses extraordinary talent.

His mother, Ronya, said of the little boy, “He’s a 9-year-old with a brain that just has the capacity to understand and comprehend a lot of concepts that’s beyond his years and sometimes beyond my understanding.”
