  • A new feature will eventually blur explicit pictures in search results even if SafeSearch filtering is turned off. “
  • SafeSearch filtering is already enabled by default for signed-in users under the age of 18.

Tech giant Google has declared that it will obscure explicit photos in the search results by default “in the coming months.”

SafeSearch filtering is already enabled by default for signed-in users under the age of 18, according to a blog post published by Google on Tuesday.

However, a new feature will eventually blur explicit pictures in search results even if SafeSearch filtering is turned off.

“This setting will be the new default for individuals who do not currently have the SafeSearch filter turned on, with the option to alter settings at any time,” according to the business.

Google also introduced a new YouTube Kids playlist called “Build a Safer Internet,” which will comprise content that promotes a safe, responsible, and secure internet.

“When it comes to kids and families using our platforms, we know keeping them safe is a priority. “That’s why we’ve invested in building experiences that align with kids’ and teens’ developmental stages and needs,” it added.

Furthermore, the company is adding the option to employ biometric authentication before entering users’ saved passwords from the “Google Password Manager” for verification on the supported machines.

According to the tech giant, iOS users will soon be able to set up Face ID to secure the privacy of their Google applications, ensuring that if someone has their device, they will not be able to open it and have access to their data.
