  • The 24-year-old receives a salary of £80,000 every week.
  • He reportedly wants to quadruple his current pay.
  • Reports suggest Chelsea is unwilling to pay Mount as much as Sterling.

Mason Mount has reportedly turned down Chelsea’s offer of a new contract and is dissatisfied with the recommendations made.

The current Stamford Bridge contract for Mount expires at the conclusion of the next season.

Mount has kept a regular spot in the Chelsea team despite the £600 million spending spree Chelsea participated in during the last two transfer windows.

He has participated in each of the six Champions League group stage contests and has started 19 of the season’s first 21 Premier League games.

Even though Graham Potter regards Mount as crucial, Chelsea has yet to extend an adequate deal to him.

The Mail asserted that the financial situations of the two parties are quite dissimilar.

Mount reportedly wants to quadruple his current pay to match some of the biggest earners at the team. The 24-year-old receives a salary of £80,000 every week.

According to reports, Chelsea is unwilling to pay Mount as much as a player like Raheem Sterling, who joined the west London club from Manchester City last summer and immediately rose to one of the highest-paid players there.

The most recent offer made to Mount by Chelsea is significantly less than Sterling’s pay.

Although there has been a gap in the conversation, it is likely that it will resume soon. Because he might leave for free in the summer of 2024, Chelsea won’t want Mount to sign a contract for his final year of employment.

Mount reportedly disapproves of the arrangement Chelsea has offered. The attacking midfielder, who is six years old, debuted for the Blues’ first team in 2019.
