Wahab Riaz and Iftikhar Ahmed engaged in banter after the batter hit the left-arm pacer for six maximums, during the exhibition match between Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi at the Bugti Stadium on Sunday.
Wahab gave Zalmi the perfect start by dismissing Ahsan Ali and Umar Akmal in the second over, but Quetta fought back to post a respectable total.
Meanwhile, Iftikhar hit Wahab for six sixes in the final over of the innings to ensure that Quetta ended on a high note. In 50 balls, the right-hander scored an unbeaten 94 runs.
The two cricketers engaged in a hilarious exchange in a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
“Note this, this won’t work in the PSL,” Wahab said putting his finger on Quetta Gladiators’ shirt.
“We will go on top,” replied Iftikhar.
Wahab also praised Iftikhar’s batting performance during the game.
“Hitting six maximums is a big thing, but getting hit six sixes is also about morale,” the pacer said.
