LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has said that it will protest today’s ‘illegal’ custody of party leader Fawad Chaudhry in Lahore, BOL News reported.

According to Nusrat Jamsheed Cheema, the former spokesperson for the Punjab administration, PTI would protest today at the GPO Chowk against Chaudhry’s “illegal” detention.

According to Mrs Cheema, Fawad Chaudhry and his family are supported by PTI at this difficult moment. She added that lawyers and members of civil society would record their protests.

It is important to note that Fawad Chaudhry, the head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was granted a two-day physical remand by a judge on Saturday after being detained for ‘threatening’ the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The former federal minister was detained for allegedly making members of the ECP feel threatened.

Omer Hamid Khan, the secretary of the ECP, filed a complaint at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad, and a case was opened against a PTI leader.
