Brad Pitt has posted a humorous response to Shania Twain’s famous performance in which she substituted Ryan Reynolds for the Babylon star’s name.
The 59-year-old star of Bullet Train responded to Twain’s performance at the People’s Choice Awards in December.
She sang her timeless hit That Doesn’t Impress Me Much during the performance, and fans were shocked when she sang “Okay, so you’re Brad Pitt,” instead of singing, “Okay, so you’re Ryan Reynolds.”
Reynolds, seated in the crowd, looked astonished when his fellow Canadian mentioned him.
While Pitt’s reaction to the iconic scene was widely rumoured, the Deadpool actors enjoyed Deadpool’s astonished answer.
In a recent interview, Pitt discussed how it made him feel to be cut off from the popular song.
The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor was questioned in a video posted on the @themoviedweeb TikTok account how he felt about Reynolds “stealing his thunder” because of Twain’s performance.
“He didn’t steal it. I think we can share the wealth there,” said Pitt. He said, “Ryan’s a good egg, too,” and added, “He deserves some love.”
Pitt continued by giving Twain some recommendations for more replacements when she performed the popular song, adding, “Next time she ought to sing it to Austin Butler.”
He joked, “Maybe Leo in between and then Austin Butler.”
