The Google app now has a more Material You-aligned bottom bar with pill-shaped indicators, which is more in keeping with the new Search filters carousel design, according to a report.

This is the short version, as opposed to the tall version found in almost every other first-party application, though Gmail uses something even more condensed.

According to the report, when users hit their profile avatar in the Google app, a switcher that uses Material You with Dynamic Color would emerge.

Furthermore, the theming gives excellent visual separation for lengthy lists that include settings.

In the inner container, you’ll find the account switcher, followed by Search history, Delete last 15 minutes, Results about you, and Reminders.

Outside, the report mentions a Google logo at the top, followed by Your data in Search, Settings, and Help & feedback.

Finally, the Google app settings have been totally redone in a dark theme with an AMOLED black background.
