LODHRAN: Funeral prayer of the army soldier who was recently martyred in Siachen Glacier, while performing duty, has been offered in Lodhran.
Martyr Fayyaz Kabir was a resident of Massa Kotha area in Kahror Pakka tehsil. He had been serving in the Pakistan Army for 12 years. He belonged to NLP-15 unit. He is survived by a widow and four years old daughter, Kinza Fatima.
Mother of the martyr said her son sacrificed his life for the country and they were proud over it. Brother of the soldier said he was proud of his brother’s martyrdom.

The funeral prayer was attended by thousands of people including senior army officers, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf Salih and Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leader MNA Rana Faraz Noon.
He was laid to rest with full army honour in his ancestral cemetery, amid slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.
On December 30, 2022, a Pakistan Army soldier, belonging to Tehsil Zehri of Khuzdar district, had been laid to rest on Friday with full military honor, Bol News had reported.
The Pakistan Army soldier was martyred in the exchange of fire between Pakistan Army personnel and terrorists in Kurram Aravali district. Shaheed Naik Muhammad Ramadan belonged to Bulbul area of Zehri. He was laid to rest in a local cemetery.
