Elle Fanning, 24, sent a lengthy and emotional homage to her late teacher on Instagram on Saturday, letting followers know how close they had been.
“I have never encountered somebody more graceful and powerful. You battled till your final breath “Fanning composed. “You are my loved ones. Second mother to me.”

She said, “I know I still have yet to truly discover the lessons and wisdom you implanted in me. “In addition to being your pupils, we were also your kids. It went far beyond only instructing ballet.”
“I will continue to live my life in a way that you will be proud of in the hopes that I can always make you proud. You now serve as my fairy angel and guide me “Finally, Fanning said. “Without you, I am nothing.”
She had been employed since 2006 and has a long history in film and television as a performer and choreographer, according to her bio on the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts website.
In July of last year, Fanning garnered her first-ever nomination for an Emmy for her performance on Hulu’s The Great. She plays a fictional Catherine the Great, Empress of All Russia opposite Nicholas Hoult’s Peter III of Russia in the acclaimed series, which debuted in May 2020.
