Vivica A. Fox honored by “Kill Bill” cameo in SZA music video, phone “blew up” with messages

  • The reception to her Kill Bill-themed cameo in SZA’s most recent music video
  • Was quite enjoyable for Vivica A. Fox.
  • Before departing to attend a private screening for 3M’s Skilled documentary at Sundance on January 22.

Vivica A. Fox spoke with about revisiting her Copperhead character from 2003’s Kill Bill. “I am really sorry. What, did that get popular? People were inventing their own plots! “She tells PEOPLE that anticipation for a potential Kill Bill 3 is growing among fans who are looking for hints.

According to Fox, who is presently shooting the Tubi and Mar Vista thriller Twisted House Sitter 2 in Atlanta, “my phone blew up that day, and the internet as well.” “Yeah, I believe they believed it would be this thing,”

“The main reason SZA was channeling Uma Thurman’s persona in the song was because her fiancé had hurt her. Should I go kill my ex? she asks. People said, “Wow, those lyrics are a tad violent,” for example. It was a touch violent, but then again, Kill Bill was violent.”

Continues the actress/director, “But I think the hunger was there, too. Kill Bill 3 has been eagerly anticipated.”

SZA’s successful song opens with the singer reading a letter from an ex who broke up with her while others start firing at her trailer (perhaps alluding to Budd’s home in Kill Bill Vol. 2) in an effort to kill her. The video is close to five minutes long. SZA, real name Solána Rowe, lives through the shooting.

SZA then gets dressed and rides her motorcycle before using a sword to fend off a throng of onlookers. The “Nobody Gets Me” singer then approaches her ex, tears out his heart, and walks away as the video abruptly turns animated.

Finally, her song “Seek and Destroy” starts to play while a naked SZA is suspended from the ceiling by ropes. SOS, the second album by the musician, was released in December.

Regarding whether she has personally heard any rumor about the production of a third movie, Fox tells, She jokes, “[Writer/director] Quentin [Tarantino] works when he wants to, honey. Just like everyone else, I heard that if we do Kill Bill 3, it [may] be about my ‘daughter’ seeking retribution.”

In a SiriusXM interview with Andy Cohen in 2019, Tarantino, 59, revealed that he has finally thought of a solid idea for a new sequel.

At the time, he stated, “I do have a notion of what I would do with it. “That was the whole thing, was conquering that concept, exactly what’s happened to the Bride since then and what I would want to do.

“But now I have an idea that would be interesting,” he added. “I wouldn’t do it for a little bit. It would be like at least three years from now, or something like that. But it is definitely in the cards.”
