In her first comment to the world following the passing of her mother, the lone child of music legend Elvis Presley, Keogh left a brief remark to go with the picture: “.”
Priscilla Presley, Riley’s grandmother, who was Lisa Marie’s mother, issued the following statement to the media upon her passing: “It is with a heavy heart that I must convey the tragic news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”
Priscilla continued, “She was the most passionate strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
Last Tuesday evening in Los Angeles, Lisa Marie attended the 2023 Golden Globe Awards event, where the movie Elvis was nominated. The best actor in a drama went to Austin Butler, who played the lead vocalist.
The Sunday prior, Lisa Marie and Riley attended an event honoring Elvis Presley’s birthday with the cast of the movie at the Formosa Café in West Hollywood. Bobby Green, the proprietor of the venue, said of Lisa Marie and Riley that evening, “They were absolutely cute together.
The entire night, they slept next to each other. Naturally, I believe they had obligations that evening. They had to take pictures and share an Elvis booth, but they appeared to genuinely enjoy themselves. They appeared to be joyful.
Riley plays a member of a rock band in the fictitious forthcoming Prime Video series Daisy Jones & The Six. The actress revealed that her character made her think of her mother in an interview with a news outlet last month.
At the time, Keough referred to Lisa Marie as a “really powerful, brilliant woman” and said, “My mother is undoubtedly an inspiration to me.” Added, “I grew up with a person who followed their own path without much regard for what others might think. She undoubtedly served as an inspiration to me.”

Riley paid tribute to her deceased brother in July by posting on Instagram: “There isn’t a minute that goes by that I don’t miss and think of you. Today marks two years since you left, and I’m still in shock that you’re not here. By Ben Ben, you are much cherished.”
