Najam Sethi, the chairman of the management committee for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), has made it clear that he will not accept any favours for himself.
Sethi asked his friends and superiors not to approach him on Friday regarding the inclusion of any player or coach or employment for an undeserving person.
“I am also requesting friends and high-ups not to do sifarish for selection of any player or coach, etc, or to give employment or facilitation to any undeserving person. PCB competes with top professional organisations in the world and cannot afford to be inefficient,” he wrote.

Since taking on a crucial position in the PCB last December, Sethi has made some significant choices. In preparation for the ODI series against New Zealand at home, he named Shahid Khan Afridi as the interim chief selector. Mir Hamza, Sajid Khan, and Shahnawaz Dahani were three notable additions to the Test squad for the New Zealand series that Shahid announced in his first assignment.
The task of restoring the 2014 constitution was given to the Sethi-led management committee, which consists of 14 members nominated by PM/PCB-patron Shehbaz Sharif. The 2019 PCB constitution was thus revoked.
