In their final four-nation cup encounter, the Pakistan women’s team and Saudi Arabia fought to a humorous draw on Thursday at the Prince Saud bin Jalawi Stadium in Al-Khobar. The hosts were crowned winners as a result.
Saudi Arabia won the four-nation cup with seven points, while Pakistan finished second with four.
Saudi Arabia had a 1-0 lead in the first half.
The Pakistani defender expected the free-kick the hosts won within their own half, but Saudi number nine Albandari Mubarak was swift and nimble and seized a loose ball before running into the box to put the ball into the right corner.
Pakistan, on the other hand, equalized after an incredible comeback.
In the 65th minute, Pakistan was awarded a free kick. Everyone in the box waited for Pakistan captain Maria Khan’s lofted cross, but she liked her chances from a distance and took a shot at goal, which the Saudi Arabia goalie couldn’t stop and ended up in the back of the net.
Pakistan had an opportunity to win in the last minutes, but the ball went over the crossbar.

Earlier, Pakistan’s second encounter of the competition ended in a 2-1 loss to Mauritius. Prior to that, they won their opening match against Comoros 1-0.
