Authorities said Wednesday that a lady in Pennsylvania was charged with killing her parents by shooting them in the head and chopping up their bodies with a chain saw.

According to Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele, Verity Beck, 49, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of third-degree murder, and other offences in the deaths of Reid Beck, 73, and Miriam Beck, 72.

Beck was ordered held without bond during his preliminary arraignment on Wednesday, according to criminal court records.

Investigators discovered a safe that someone appeared to have attempted to break into, but authorities have not yet determined a possible motivation, according to Steele.
